Just got back from my first facial today, and the lady completely butchered my skin!!!! I had some acne scars and more than a few blackheads, but now, after the treatment, my face looks splotchy ALL OVER. It was honestly the most painful experience of my life. Is this normal??? My birthday's coming up this weekend, and I guess the main question is, will the redness go away, and by when???? Is there anything I can do to reduce the appearance of all the red spots in the meantime? PLEASE HELP.

The skin on your face has just been traumatized, not knowing what has just happened to it is a good thing because it's not used to getting the royal treatment from a professional. Did she give you a microdermabrasion treatment? If she did, the redness will go away in a couple days. If it doesn't get to the cosmetics counter at the mall and get some green tint foundation...it will help cancel out the red temporarily.
