Do skin-care products really work? Some of the skin care products work very well and some don't. This all depends on your skin type, and the kind of problems you are having, such as acne. I'd suggest that if this is a BIG problem, you'd probably be saving money in the long run if you were to see a dermatologist rather than trying everything out there on the market. Also, if it is acne that you are experiencing, closely examine your diet. A lot of greasy foods (most fast-foods) will only add to this problem, as will chocolate and a lot of regular (NOT diet) sodas.
The best and by-far the cheapest way to try this out is: Buy some Aveeno Oatmeal facial scrub, and use it at least twice a day. Follow this with an astringent such as Sea Breeze, or even an after shave works. Be advised: it's going to burn for a few seconds. At the same time, try changing your diet to eliminate all "junk food", fast food, greasy food and sugar-loaded goodies. Give it about 2 weeks and be very consistent, and see if this doesn't help clear up some of this problem. If not, then don't waste any more money on various products--go to a dermatologist. Hope this helps you get this under control.
