Will insurance cover my sur..

I have alot of acne scars all over my back and keloids on my shoulders- they are uncomfortable when I sit and lay down and are causing more harm than they've done. Will insurance cover my surgery- I know they dont cover cosmetics but seeing as how this is semi-affecting my health will they?

They can be painful sometimes too so Im hoping yes as it will be most likely very expensive.

Sorry, but this is a question which you have to ask your insurer. And yes, most insurers will not cover cosmetic procedures unless you can demonstrate a medical necessity (like facial disfigurement which affects your speech or eating, etc.) Also, since you have a genetic predisposition to keloid formation, surgery may not be an option for you anyway.
