They're different types of viruses.
Viruses are a large family of infectious agents. They all look different, and they do different things to your body. Rabies, the flu and herpes are also viruses - and each one makes you sick in it's own unique way.
Maybe it's easier to think of it like this; in this world, there are sharks, flounders and clown fish. They're all from the same family (fish) - but they are all look and behave differently from one another aren't they? Same thing goes for viruses, bacteria & almost every other thing on the planet! Things simply evolve in special ways to serve a purpose.
