Bacteria are living single celled organisms that can reproduce on their own either by budding or cell division.

Viruses are encapsulated particles of DNA or RNA that can freely move about a system. Viruses need a host to reproduce and live. Once the virus injects its DNA or RNA into a host cell it hijacks the cells mechanics and reproduces copies of itself which are then released and move on to infect other cells.

Viruses need to inject their genetic material into some host for replication, coz they dont have any apparatus for replicaton, n bacteria are a little stable n less host dependent than viruses
