help!!! my skin is really dry and i can't use just anything on it, without breaking out....
How to nourish dry skin?............?I agree with a lot of the answers -
1) HYDRATE with lots of water/ clear liquid (NOT sodas, coffee, tea or even juice coz too much sugar) - you should be drinking AT LEAST half of your weight in ounces. (EX: If you weight 120 pounds, half of 120 is 60 - - you should be drinking AT LEAST 60 ounces of water EVERYDAY!)
2) I HAD dry skin, too. Could not use anything until a month ago when I was told of any Glycerine soap (like Neutrogena clear bar soap). Works well even on make up and hard to remove anything. So I use Caress in the morning and Neutrogena in the evening. It's like magic!
Nourish and hydrate dry skin FROM the inside -out.
You can use a ton of products on your skin - it will not help until you hydrate yourself from the inside.
How to nourish dry skin?............?I have very sensative skin so I use Johnson's baby wash with shea and cocoa butter. I also use baby oil, that helps to keep the moisture locked in. Good Luck!
How to nourish dry skin?............?Drink a lot of water...since it's what you're mostly made if, you need to replenish it often. Don't take hot hot showers (that will really dry your skin out). Only shave your legs every other day (use sensitive formula/dry skin formula shaving cream). Make sure you're eating your veggies! Don't use regular soap-it also can cause you to break out. If any soap or body wash, always buy sensitive formula that is fragrance free( fragrance can be a really bad irritant). My favorite body wash is Dove Beauty Body Wash for Sensitive Skin. Even though it is "fragrance free" it still has a nice clean smell to it. There is a great soap out there called Basis, it comes in a bar and is meant for the face, there's nothing extra in it and I haven't had any trouble with it irritating my skin. I dunno if you've tried Aveeno. It's pretty good stuff for dry skin...however you might want to avoid the one with sunless tanner in it...it REALLY dried me out haha. Same thing with moisturizers and lotions, try to go with the Fragrance Free/ Sensitive Skin versions. There is one more lotion that in my opinion is the best. It's Eucerin. It soaks right in, it's gentle, and calms dry skin. Oh yeah, wash clothes believe it or not can irritate the skin. You're really better off just to use your hands to wash your face and body. Try using Vitamin E Oil or Tea Tree Oil. Both of these are great for helping replenish the natural oils in your skin. I would go with the Vitamin E Oil simply because it is cheaper. Hope this Helps =D
