Male's stds help?

My boyfriend has a patch of dry skin on the head of his penis. It's like rough skin. Can that be an STD or is it normal?

Male's stds help?

It is hard to diagnose over the internet, and it could be many things. It could just be a patch of dry skin, an irritated area, or even a possible healed blister that is peeling.

To be safe, please recommend he get tested for the presence of a possible STD and if it is treatable, get it treated so he doesnt pass it on to you.

If you have had unprotected sex (including oral sex) with your boyfriend, I would also get tested if I were you, to be sure it hasnt been passed to you before it showed any sort of lesion.

In the meantime, if you choose to have any type of sexual contact, you must have your boyfriend wear a condom.

Again, it could just be a patch of dry skin or an irritated area, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Just as an added piece of information, if you are interested in STD testing, Planned Parentood centers and Health Departments will do the testing for cheap to free.

If you have any further questions, feel free to message me.
