Need help with dry skin iss..

My 2 yr. old, newly adopted Weim has dry patches on skin. The vet sz it was probably due to poor nutrition before going to the shelter. I 've tried several homemade remedies-Olive oil 1x a week in food, bathing w/ a good quality shampoo, but I really don't see any improvement. Anyone out there been through this.????

My dog had this problem until I found a product called "Derm-Caps" I ordered them online at one of the pet marts. It is like a vitamin E capsule and you use so many per lb of body weight. You just puncture them and put on the food. It really helped within a matter of a couple of weeks.

a weimaraner??i recommend using dry skin shampoo it worked on my dog and he was better in a couple of days after i washed him!

Royal Canin's Skin Support dog food. It's expensive but awesome food and helps their skin tremendously.

I have a 10 year old German shepherd that has had dry skin all of his. I have also tried everything nothing seems to work. But i would get a really good shampoo that might cost a bit more and keep using that.
