Shanie?? Do you mean shiny? I agree with the first poster. A dull coat can be an indicator of poor diet as can excessive shedding.

make sure they have food that nourishes their skin and coat..

and also get moisturizing shampoo and conditioner...but don't bathe him too much! especially b/c it's winter it will dry his skin out more ...

so like just a couple times a month use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for your dog when u give him a bath :-) it should help!

Frequent brushing will help and so will a linoleic acid food supplement.

Diet is likely part of the problem. I don't know what you feed your dog but even with premium foods dogs often need supplements. My dogs get 3V Skin Caps from the Vet which have Omega 3, Vit A, D and E in them. I don't bathe them but once a month, twice if they get dirty and I use a good shampoo for their sort of skin and coat. Sometimes I use one I make myself that puts a shine in their coat.
