i have same skin and i use prescriptives virtual skin. they will color match for your skin. i generally like heavier coverage makeup, but this is considered semi-sheer. i love it.

My friend got me into Clinique, although I don't use makeup, they have makeup for almost every type of skin you can think of. It is a little bit expensive if you're on a tight budget but its awesome.

If you have the time, it's worth going, on different days, obviously, to a variety of make up counters in a dept store and having your face made up (usually for free). Then you get to trial things without the trial of paying out and finding later it's not right for your skin. They'll often give you free samples as well.
