Could my dog have a tumor?

I am asking this question because a couple of days ago my husband was petting our puppy and he noticed a round mass under his skin located directly beside his ribs. At first I just kind of said that it is probably one of his intestines, but now I am really worried because I dont remember ever feeling that before either. Every time I go to the vet, she says that he seem to be very healthy, but I am still going to take him back to the vet to ask about this. I dont want to seem paranoid about every little thing with him but I dont know, is it possible, could my dog have a tumor?
Could my dog have a tumor?yes its possible... but it also could be a million other things.
take him to the vet as soon as possible to have it checked out.
.
Could my dog have a tumor?Hmmm I think you should...................... take it to the vet.
Could my dog have a tumor?Only your vet can give you a true answer. Of course your dog "can" have a tumor. The real questions is, "dose" your dog have a tumor. If you are worried, don't rely on the Internet to alleviate your concerns.
Could my dog have a tumor?Oh yeah, right - are YOUR intestines by your ribs?!!!
To a vet. If need be, get a second opinion. The sooner you find out what it is, the smaller the bill!
Could my dog have a tumor? If it is soft and mushy, it is probably just a fatty tumor which is harmless. My dog has had one for years and it has never spread. They are just a mass of fat cells that decide to grow in a weird area. If it is hard or painful at all, have it biopsied. Not all tumors are cancer and it may be removed easily with no problem. If it is cancer, you want to get it out asap.
