My male cat, which is 8 years old/neutered, had to go to the vet about 2 months ago. He completely stopped eating & drinking water & had a yellow tint to his skin. I took him to the vet with this information & was told that unless I had a feeding-tube put in my cat (which was so incredibly expensive) he would die. I took my cat to my parents house & kept him there for a while to see if they could get him to eat. Eventually, he started eating and drinking. He is now eating 3 to 4 cans of the smallest canned catfood. He is eating normally and is going to the bathroom regularly. He is also drinking water. My question is: is there any way my cat will come out of this? He seems healthy now, and I'm just wondering if those problems will continue or if he is okay now. I would take him to the vet to do more bloodwork to see where his levels are, but the last vet visit was very expensive and I do not have the funds. Anyone have any ideas?
