He is 30cm long and had blue eyes for 2 days as if he were about to shed. Today they were clear! I searched the vivarium for an old skin. Under the water bowl, around his log, in his plant, under the bark, on his vine...I found nothing. Did he shed? I searched every website and book for an explanation. I checked for mites etc. He is a perfectly healthy baby that I fed on friday. Is this normal behaviour?

Yes, it is normal behavior. Generally during the shedding process a snake's eyes will be that blue/opaque color for about 5-8 days, and then their eyes will go clear. About 1-3 days after their eyes clear, they will shed.

Right now, during the 'clear' phase, is the time that it is most imperative to make sure the humidity in the cage is perfect for your corn snake; so that his shed is as easy for him as possible.

I'd recommend misting his cage once or twice a day and making sure his water dish is full during this period.

I wish you luck with your snake; I hope this helps!

My corns do that too. He probably is going to shead today. They "clear up" the day or the day before they are going to shead.

He is going to shed in 7-10 days. You should raise the humidity in your tank.
