Puppy with a dry nose - Help?

My 9 month old Yorkie-Bichon mix has a dry, chapped looking nose on a regular basis. She's been to the vet on multiple occassions, & she is extremely healthy - so her being sick isn't the problem. What else could cause this & is there something I can do about it?
I wasn't sure if it could be something like her breed, the fact that the weather around where I'm from *Central PA* is awfully dry as of recent (even my skin has been harsh). Or maybe even something she is consuming? I feed her Nature's Recipe - it's the only food that hasn't made her stomach upset or caused her coat to look dry & dull.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Puppy with a dry nose - Help?Lip balm or petroleum jelly on a daily basis would not harm your pet. But I must add that a friends dog was going through the exact same thing. Three vets later, it was determined that the dog food was indeed the culprit. She was feeding a food that had corn, wheat, and soy and was less than 24% protein. Too many fillers. He suggested a food that eliminated all of that and stayed with 24% protein, (chicken and rice formula) and vitamins. That solved the problem.
Good luck to you and your Pal
Puppy with a dry nose - Help?Beings you've done right..taken her to the vet & all is well, you might try adding some canned food or olive oil to her diet..for some added moisture to the dry foods, bout a tablespoon daily of olive oil would do..for starters...might just be how she's gonna be tho...Peace & TC :)
