Why will these tick bites n..

About four months ago I was bitten twice in a span of two weeks by common wood ticks (not deer ticks) which I pulled out myself. Living on a farm I am used to ticks, have dealt with them for years and until now, no real issues.

Problem is that neither has healed properly. What started out as minor skin trauma when I pulled out each tick has not turned into two circular, crater like sores which come close to healing and then get "opened" again. They itch, and I probably scratch them at night, are a total annoyance, and now have me a little worried. I am relatively healthy, run 15-25 miles a week, occassional smoker, but have some stress (debt and a wedding coming up).. could there be a corralation?

What I really need to do is heal!

I would definitely suggest going to see your MD. 4 months is quite a span of time for tick bites to heal.He may very well want to test you for lyme disease.
