Okie so i have my cartilage piercing for around 2 months. I barely took out the earring today and I suddenly felt a bump right on the hole. It's not big or anything so I just decided to put my earring back in. But then my ear started turning red and irrated. and i also got my piercing done with a gun.

How do I get rid of the bump? I know it's not a keloid because its not that big, and theres no pus or anything. It just red.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Bumps on Cartilage, right on top of hole. How do I get rid of it?

The exact same thing happened to me. I had my cartilage pierced for about 7 months then the earring fell out and I didnt realize it. When I did realize, the hole already started to close. When the hole was closed, there was a small bump there. So I cleaned it with some rubbing alcohol and left it alone. It's been a while and my ear feels normal again. So just clean it and wait it out. It should go away. I dont have a bump or any mark. Good luck!

i would take out the earring, put alcohol on the peircing, and wear a hoop for a few days to let it get some air. the hoop lets the air get to the peircing better than a stud and the alcohol will make it feel better from being irritated. i've got nine earrings so thats what i've done maybe it will help ya.

make a mixture of sea salt (without iodide at grocery stores) and hot water. Mix about 1/2 tsp salt with 1/2 cup water. Let dissolve. Dip qtip in liquid and clean the area, making sure to try to get liquid in hole. Do this on both sides of piercing. I would leave the jewelry in unless it gets worse. In which case, I would see a piercing specialist.
