Cartilage piercing help!!?

ok. so last summer i got my cartilage pierced at a professional piercing and tattoo salon. The guy used a needle and it was very sterile, and i have a hypoallergenic earring in. About a month ago a bump formed at the top of the piercing and its really soft and squishy, and it hurts whenever i lay on that side when i sleep, or even when it gets slightly touched with anything. I highly doubt its a keloid because its not huge and it isn't filled with blood either, its just regular skin color. how do i get rid of it?! please please help..but i really would prefer not to take the piercing out, i dont want to re-pierce it. thanks in advance [:

That happened to my nose piercing. The first time it happened, I took it out and totally regretted it. I got it re-pierced a few weeks ago and recently I got "the bump" I called the tattoo place and they told me to crush Bayer aspirin and mix it with warm water and put it on my nose for 20 minutes, twice a day. I've been doing it for 3 days and its almost gone.

It could very well be scar tissue build up. It's pretty common with cartilage piercings.
