well 1 liter of a 2.0 molar solution of NaCl is 1.0 mole of Na+ and 1.0 mole of Cl-. So there are 2 moles total in the solution....it doesn't matter if you add the water because that is not changing the number of sodium chloride moles. But again, are you asking how many total moles of Na+ and Cl- are in the solution?...if so then its 2.0 moles
