Just checking if I'm doing these correctly!
1) Na = 23, Cl = 35.5
25 g of NaCl
25g / 58.5g = 0.427350427
Answer = 0.43 moles?
----------
2) 2.5 moles of NaCl
2.5 moles * 58.5 = 146.25 g
Answer = 146.25 grams?
----------
3) How many molecules are in the quantities below?
2.0 moles
2.0 * 6.02 x 10 ^ 23 = 1.204 x 10 ^ 24
Answer = 1.204 x 10 ^ 24?
----------
4) How many moles are in the number of molecules below?
1.5 x 10 ^ 20
1.5 x 10 ^ 20 / 6.02 x 10 ^ 24 = 2.491694352 x 10 ^ 43
Answer = 2.5 x 10 ^ 43?
Thank you!
Mixed Mole Problems (Checking if correct)?looking at your calculations,
first three are correct.
But, to make the calculations more reasonable,
you should amend the calculations like:
e.g.
25g / (58.5g/mol) = 0.43 mole
2.5 mol * 58.5 g/mol = 146.25 g
For the fourth one,
Avogadro number is 6.02x10^23.
