hey everyone, i used salicylic acid a couple years ago, when i was 16 or so to help treat my acne on my face, i didnt wear any sunscreen or anything, and i've read on the internet that the sun can do some damage if you dont use sunscreen while using salicylic acid =(,
and i know its been a couple years, but im noticing the area(cheeks and close to nose) become more red/inflamed now.
i just want the uncomfortable burning feeling to go away, it always comes back after a day in the sun, is there a cure or treatment anybody can help me with?
currently i just cleanse my face twice a day using purpose bar (soap bar) and i dont moisturize or anything else, (im a guy) i dont know what cleanser to use to help with this
(dont say to see a doctor or dermatologist) i want to do this on my own.
thanks in advance
Please help, Need Help Healing From Damage Caused by Salicylic Acid on Face?i would suggest noxema cream, you can use it to wash with and you can also rub it in and leave it on, it is great for sunburns so it might help with this, and get a good heavy duty sunscreen and use it, not seeing a doctor though can hide a serious problem that we may not know about. the noxema would be better than bar soap to wash with too.
