okie i had tis fresh marks from pimples.earlier a few weeks ago a patch of my skin had jus peeled due to pimples revealed pink skin inside and patched up again to new skin.i decided to use ginvera pimple cream to peel off the marks.so rite after using my st ives apricob scrub (for acne and oily skin-which contain 2% salicylic acid) to wash my face i applied the cream to the marks.the marks instantly peeled off.and i was satisfied with the results.soon after i felt a burning sensation and went to see that a new thicker skin had actually been created with marks back.is tat irritation or wat?..i got panicked.and immediately went to wash off the remaining cream on the skin to stop any more reaction with again st ives apricot scrub(the only facial cleanser i had at tat point).while washing i felt a strong burnin sensation.soon after i threw away the pimple cream and never used it.but continued usin st ives apricot scrub.daily once.wat really happens? is it permanent damage? any cure ?

Used ginvera pimple cream right after exfoliating ??

It sounds like you may be over cleansing etc......try a more gentle face wash....let your skin calm down...dont rub and scrub......get some pure lavender oil...add to sink filled with warm water.....just a couple of drops of oil,,,,,,wash face with that...dont traumatize it further.....try witch hazel as a toner after.....put a tiny bit of pimple cream on spots...pimple cream tends to burn,,,,let it scab,,,,dont pick at it,,,drink lots of water,,,hope this helps........

I agree with bronze b. You should not use an exfoliant like that more than once a day. That pimple cream may have benzoyl peroxide in it that is burning too much when used with the salicylic acid. When I have a pimple, I wash my whole face with a gentle cleanser and then use a mild exfoliant(small round granules, not jagged nuts). Use a clay mask in the affected area or on the whole face(except around the eye area). Clay will absorb the pus and any excess oil and dirt in your pores. Use a water based moisturizer.
