Advanced Alcoholic Cirrhosis?

My mother has advanced alcoholic cirrhosis. She was diagnosed 6 years ago and the doctors told her then if she didn't stop drinking she would be dead in five years. For a year she did stop. But since she has resumed drinking heavily, mostly on the weekends. She has varoius problems associated with her cirrhosis inc. Portal hypertension, esoph. varices, ascetis, her skin isn't yellow but has this weird green/grey hue to it, and now since Nov. Last year she has this horrible rash all over her arms and legs. She has also been diagnosed as bi-polar but I wonder if she is Bi-Polar at all and it is just the disease effecting her brain. She went to a dermo. last week about the rash and he diag. it as psorasis. But I doubt he is fully aware of her alcoholism as she keeps it a secret.
My queston is how much longer can she possibly go on like this?? How much abuse can ones body take??
I love her and care for her but it is getting to be very overwhelming for me to live in this situation.
Advanced Alcoholic Cirrhosis?Sounds like advance liver failure..the asites, and portal hypertension will continue despite medications, varices can also be fatal if bleeding starts..she is on borrowed time..toxins are building up in the blood. Sorry to say but it dosen't sound good. Without totally stopping and acute medical care her days are numbered. Each day that she draws breath is a gift.
Advanced Alcoholic Cirrhosis?I am going to tell you, what's happening in her body.
