I have been suffering from these itchiness for a real long time now and just learned it could possibly be the case of athlete's foot. I had gone to the doctor before, but he kept prescribing medication, both capsules and cream, that barely help the itching.

I have done research on the possible symptoms of athlete's foot. However, it mainly mentions the itchiness between the toes. I am suffering the itchiness on the upper part of the toes--all of them, in fact. There are a few swelling, and when it itches, it feels somewhat like being poked with needles at the same time. There are a few toes that are turning a purple shade and the skin has wrinkled slightly.

Is this likely athlete's foot or it may be some other type of disease/fungi?

I appreciate any information that might could confirm this for me.
