My primary has tested skin lesion and states the results are MSRA. I have had numerous outbreaks. I am told this is common, hard to get rid of. Each time I go on Bactrim and it clears up to return 2 weeks later. Is there a more radical treatment? What will an infectious disease doctor do for treatment?
Do you have any knowledge of MSRA? cause, treatment, doctor?MRSA is a staph infection that is very difficult to get rid of as it is highly resistent to most medications. Levaquin is good antibiotic to try. Most everyone harbors MRSA in their bodies, and is passed by skin to skin contact. Depending on our immune system, most people can fight it off, others develop the infection. Unfortunately, it will keep coming back and will have to be treated. Two week intervals is too much. You need to do immune system building with supplements, rest, and low stress to help keep the infection away for longer periods of time. Yes, definitely go to a disease control doctor.
Do you have any knowledge of MSRA? cause, treatment, doctor? It is caused by overuse of antibiotics, in turn the body becomes immune to antibiotics, I know it is contagious, I would seek any help I could get.
Do you have any knowledge of MSRA? cause, treatment, doctor?MRSA stands for methecillin resistant staphlocous aureas (a staph infection that is resistant to the anti-biotic methecillin).
Skin break out of MRSA have been on the rise in ERs and can potentially lead a flesh eating level. MRSA of the skin, or community based MRSA (CA-MRSA), is usually cleared up pretty well with standard antiobiotics. This is in contrast to health care associated MRSA (HA-MRSA) which is known as being a hospital aquired (nosocomial) infections which is highly resistant and requires heavier duty anti-biotics. Therefore, do not get overly anxious when someone tells you that you have a highly resistant strain, this is a different form. It is wise that you are seeing an infectious disease doctor, as they can monitor what specific strain you have and administer the anti-biotic that is right for you.
