on my neck i have a lump under the skin only on one side.. its small and moves around when i press on it. i checked symptoms on webmd and it brought up hypothyroidism.. which is kind of scary because ive recently had alot of problems with several different kind of birth control pills so the doctor checked my thyroid. and the other day i was having horrible hotflashes for no reason; i'm 19 years old and not pregnant. the tests showed it was normal, but this thing on my throat is worrying me. i also had a tonsilectomy last february if that has any relevance. my mom has kidney disease and has been sick since i could remember so i'm really scared right now, can someone, preferably a doctor, help? Please.
Doctor's here? Please help!?Go see a doctor. A small lump under your skin can be anything, including a lipoma-basically a fat cell that went out of control and got big. These are no problem, but it depends on the area this lump is. If it is on one of your lymph nodes, you definately want to have this checked, it could mean your gonna get a cold, your body is fighting a virus or many other things that i wont get into. It could very possibly be nothing. No matter what it is, try not to worry until you get a professional to examine you-in the flesh. That is the only way to truly determine what it is.
Doctor's here? Please help!?THERE ARE NO DOCTORS HERE ON YAHOO ANSWERS!! Go see a real doctor or go to the ER!
More than likely you have a small cyst under your skin. I have them, it's nothing. But if you are concerned, go see a doctor again!! As long as the bump moves, you should be okay. That's what my doctor told me.
