Does anyone have psoriasis ..

I have been dealing with this disease for about a year now, and although I am on prescription medications, my hands still often go through flare ups. My hands swell, get numerous painful cracks and cuts, and can be covered with dry, peeling skin. It is painful. I have psoriasis on my head too, but that is under control. I also recently started using a lotion that has tea tree oil in it, and that seems to work pretty good, but it's embarrassing to say, my irritable bowl syndrome appears to flare up when I use it. I don't know if there is a connection there or not. My main question goes out to others who have this disease and have had success with a treatment that they wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks!

I have had psoriasis for many years. There is never a time when I don't have a break out somewhere on my body. The best treatment that I have found is the light booth (like at a tanning salon). This one is for the treatment of psoriasis and you stand up naked in it for a couple of minutes surrounded by lights. My skin cleared up almost completely and it took only a few days. No smelly ointments to rub on yourself every night. My skin stayed clear for a few weeks after just one treatment. You should check into it and see if you and your dermatologist think it might be for you.

OK look...keep some of it to yourself...just tell us a little at a time...maybe you should see a different specialist...
