I found a kitten about 2 weeks ago. It was running around Walmart and they were trying to catch it to put it outside. I took it home and fed it. I gave him cloves just a day ago because I thought that he might have worms. He had started acting really week in the last 4 days. I thought it would kill whatever he had if it were infection or a parasite. Today I picked him up and I found a spot on the piece of skin that connects his inner thigh to the stomach and it look almost if someone had taken a scalple and sliced of a good half inch chunch of skin. His tendons and everything are exposed now but it is not oozing. His eye has started bleeding and is swelling. Has anyone ever heard of any bacteria in the U.S. in the cats that would cause this? Also I am not sure if it is the flesh eating disease, I thought it wasn't really carried in animals and not in the US. Also he has had the same soar for at least 15 hours and hasn't died yet. Can anyone shed some light?

Does my cat need to be put to sleep or is it fixable??

A vet could shed some light on this. I hope you have lots of money to spend on this kitten. Cloves were not a good idea.

Get thee to a vet.

Take it to the vet, they will be able to tell you what it is and if it's fixable.
