House Gecko questions?

ok

1- School is just starting up again and I need a way to keep humidity up while I am gone (9hrs). I bought beaked moss to put in with her but havent done it yet.

2- She hates to eat crickets. They stay in there for like 3 days until he finally starts munching on them and I need a way to trick her into doing so? I also put meal and wax worms in with her every so often but would like to make them more nutritious. I bought calcium dust and spray vitamins for on them but I am not sure that is enough because he only eats either one worm or completly ingnores them

3-Information on Shedding & egg laying cycles. Last time she shedded I would of never known because I just happened to check on her at 12 & when I woke up(6) the shedded skin was gone(she ate it & the guy at Petco said it was normal)

4-information on diseases such as intestinal diseases & the disease they get when they dont have enough calcium. The only thing I can find is the red flags they give on care sheet

House Gecko questions?

1) I would use the moss, put it in. What I did was put it in a small dish filled with water so that the moss soaks it up. You can spray the cage every morning and when you get home, they'll be fine while you're gone, because the water should keep the humidity up long enough.

2) I cannot help you with the crickets, I feed mine meal worms. If you want meal worms to be more nutritious then you first must gut load(feed) them with cricket feed. Cricket quencher is also a good way to go so that the meal worms gain moisture before they are eaten. After they are gut loaded(24 hours) then you can shake them up in a bag of calcium powder and throw them in. I've been feeding mine like this for almost a year and they're doing great. But if your gecko is picky then you might just have the leave the meal worms in the bowl. He will eat when he's hungry, so don't be afraid if you don't see him eat all the time.
