Im overweight, due to a thyroid disease, I exercise and am not lazy, however Im scared of losing a big amount of weight..so I always stop when I start losing the weight...Im afraid my skin will just sag and I will look even worse then what I do now, I dont have money for plastic surgery and my health insurance wont cover it, I know skin isnt a muscle and cant be tighten, but are there any exrecises i may to help with this, my extra weight is basically in the top of my legs and the front of my belly (like most women) Im not happy with my body, although my husband loves me endlessly...

Im afraid to loose weight..?

Your not 50 and yes your skin will bounce back...maybe not completely but it will tighten as you go...as long as you exercise. That means doing things like weight training and yoga, etc. Depending on how much sagging you have your insurance may pay for it if your doctor says its medically necessary. Also if you need a breast lift and they are removing at least 1lb from each breat many insurances will cover that too. Do not stay heavy and be unhealthy!! Loose skin can be covered up with clothes. Your life will be a lot worse if you are overweight than if you have some loose skin. TRUST ME: LOSE THE WEIGHT!!!

You'll be surprised at how much it does have though...I'm 38, and I know what you mean. You'll never go back to the body of an 18 year old, but you'll still be better off losing the weight.

Your skin snaps back better then you may think, besides (and I think your husband would agree) the best reason to lose weight is to have an overall body health.

I'd suggest that you try and find a program that is not super demanding, so it is something you can do long-term (sometimes people try super intensive diets and quit two weeks later).

My favorite program is tailored specifically to women, and can even be done while you watch tv!
