Cigarettes are killing more and more people each year. That is why to save the world and the people in it, cigarettes should be illegal. Cigarettes are killing people all the time; it kills 276,000 men in the US each year and 142,000 women in the US each year. Banning cigarettes will stop second hand smoke; stop pollutes to earth, and stops the many deaths due to smoking.

Cigarettes should be illegal! Every year someone makes a decision to smoke and they are not risking just their lives but the lives of people around them. Secondhand smoke is another health risk due to smoke from cigarettes. Non smokers who are exposed to secondhand smoke increase their risk of lung cancer by 20% to 30%. It is unfair to put other people to risk when the choice of smoking is on someone else. Secondhand smoke does not just affect grown adults but it also affects young children, studies show that secondhand smoke causes repertory symptoms to children and slows down their lung growth. Even people with heart problems have a higher risk of heart disease. Many people are at risk from secondhand smoke and they can not escape it unless we ban cigarettes. Secondhand smoke exposure causes approximately 3,400 lung cancer deaths and 22,700鈥?9,600 heart disease among non smokers in the United States. Secondhand smoke can come from a lot of places in your home for instance vents under walls and doors , secondhand smoke is a lot closer then you think and we could get rid of secondhand smoke and all the deaths from it.
