We live at an 8000 ft altitude in the mountains. There has been snow but its melting. We are both in good health no high blood pressure nor heart disease. Both are moderately active but inside not so much. Today much like many times we are sweating under our necks on our chest and behind our necklines under our collars. Also our feet are sweating too.I am from the south and been in this area for two years where we have experienced this. I have been told by some that it is normal for this area but my doctor grew up in another dry cold climate said she never had heard of it. She knows we are both in great health and we are at a loss as why we feel this way .Its creepy . You are sweating like you would be in the jungle but there is no moisture on your skin.Makes no sense at all. Once again no health issues nor high blood pressure so what gives ? Please only answer if you have info as to why this might be happening. Its very disturbing to us both.

Its 56 Degrees Inside and 2 Degrees on the outside .Why Am I Sweating?

Though it is 2 degrees outside I noticed you state that the snow is melting. This would lead me to believe that the barometric pressure in your region is high. Meaning that there is an abundance of moist cold air. This could lead to moisture collecting on your outermost garment preventing your own body heat from evaporating, thus causing you to sweat through parts of your exposed body surface to decrease body temperature. I think your first consideration should be in layering your clothing adequately to protect yourself from the elements, but this is going to depend on the different variables such as weather conditions, level of activity etc. One last note is to use the best fabric for the activity this should offer you protection and comfort at the same time. Good Luck

Its 56 Degrees Inside and 2 Degrees on the outside .Why Am I Sweating?

Because your body temperature is high. You're probably doing vigorous activities, which warms you up, and you start sweating because of that. Or, it could be your wearing very warm stuff, like thick sweaters.
