My 12 month old has developed a strange rash. She was running a fever of 104.9-100.5?

Last week, we took her to an urgent care center and the doctor diagnosed her with an ear infection. Her temperature was ranging from 104.9 to 100.5. Well they told us to give her motrin and Tylenol and we started her on Amoxilicillin. We took her to her regular pediatrician the next day and she said her ears were clean as a whistle. But since she started the amoxil, she couldn't test her for anything because the tests would not come out correctly. Well yesterday, she started breaking out in a rash. Started on her face and neck. Now it has moved everywhere. The on-call doctor said it might be fifths disease, but I'm wondering if it is, because I've done some research on the web, and it says its very rare in babies. What do you guys think? Should I re-call her pediatrician on Monday or just wait a week to see if the rash fades away. It's not bothering her, but her skin is very blotchy and red. It has me a little concerned.
My 12 month old has developed a strange rash. She was running a fever of 104.9-100.5?First off, fifth's would look like the best sign i mean is red cheeks like going out in the cold weather and having chapped cheeks. She could be allergic to amox. her body might be breaking out in hives from it. Yes, she could be having a reaction since it takes 48 hours or more for her body to filter the drug out of her body. I would recall, and recall and recall again. If your office has more then one pedi. in it see another one in the office. If you are not satisfied then if I were you I would change pedi's. You must get to the bottom of this. If you are taking the temp. rectally(prob. not but, i would advise it due to the highness of the fever) rectal is always more accurate due to being the core temp of the body. but, 100.4 is normal with the rectal temp. If you are seeing a temp. of 104.9 that can be extremely dangerous. well the amox. would make changes in the tests due to it already working to kill an infection if there is one. I would definately see another dr. or if she is worse do NOT hesitate to take her to the pedi. after hours or the ER. You cannot let a temp of that highness go untreated. You can contact me if you would like. Fifth's is a virus anyway and no med is going to kill a virus. meds are ONLY for bacterial infec. fifth's is not that dangerous either. but, it sounds to me like the amox is causing her probs. you kinda need to find out in case she needs meds again and you would hate for her to go on amox and have this again.
