Pet rabbit bit me....?

My sister adopted a pet rabbit from an animal shelter. Her rabbit is normally very gentle, but I must have scared her when I reached down to pet her this morning because she bit me. It didn't hurt, but it slightly broke the skin and bleed a little. I cleaned it really well with soap and water and a disinfectent. anyway, I was just wondering if there was anything I could catch from her rabbit? Do they carry any kinds of disease or rabbies? I have a pet rabbit myself, but she was bought at a pet store and she hasn't been around any other animals since. My pet rabbit has nipped at me, but never broken the skin. Also, the spot where she bit is almost healed!

you're fine. when I had my rabbit he got me a few times, got my daughter too. we have had skin broken and it heals and we go on. as long as you cleaned it with soap and water you're fine! ^.~

if the rabbit got all of its shots then i doubt it

yea rabbits do have lots of diseases and it was from the animal shelter u should c a doctor but only if u didnt visit the vetranarian

as long as the rabbit has gotten its shots and goes to the vet regualrly, you should be fine. I'm sure the animal shelter checked the rabbit out before letting it be adopted. You should be fine, just put Neosporin and a Band Aid on it.
