It is very small, like a millimeter. The best way I could describe it is as like a blackhead would look on skin, only this is in the white part of my eye. I don't recall getting anything into my eye, so I figure this must be something that just "grew." I've had this spot for several years now, and I thought it would just go away, but it hasn't, could this signal something serious, like an eye disease? What could this possibly be, and would getting a regular eye exam be able to identify this?

What's this tiny black dot in the white part of my eyeball?

Nothing to worry about. My friend has one and went to the eye doctor and as long as its not something that got into your eye the doctor said people can accumulate these black dots on the whites of peoples eyes. He said its like having a beauty mark on your eye.. It will probably be there for the rest of your life though so you better get used to it.

I am not a doctor and even if I were, without seeing it, I can't help you. Get to a doctor NOW! If it's been five years and hasn't grown that may be a good sign, it may irritation. It may be anything. But why waste your time here when you could get medical attention?
