Serious Dog Diet Question?

My miniature poodle who is 10 recently was put on a diet as he has skin problems and is slightly overweight. This is working splendidly and he is doing fine.However the food the vet gave us is EUKANUBA!!! We only realised after a few weeks that they are basically iams-and they test on animals and abuse them! :( I am very against animal abuse/testing and I do not want to support it by buying their products!

So my question is:What else can I feed him???

(It is Eukanuba Veterinary Diet, Nutritional Skin and Coat Formula and he has 2 cups a day)

I feed my dog what I eat, Cheeseburgers, Pizza Etc.. no chocolate, which is bad for dogs.

My daughter uses Hill's Science Diet for sensitive skin on her dogs. They love it.

She used to be a vet assistant and this brand was recommended.

Call your vet's office and explain to them what you just explained to us, I am sure they can provide you with the name for a different brand that is not cruel to animals. This world is slowly but surely changing thanks to people like you who care about innocent animals!
