Freaking out about a "..

This is kinda gross: I have gotten pimples/boils around my vagina just before my period for many years (I really don't recall how many, but it's been a long time). They have been checked and usually I was told they were ingrown hairs and harmless. I used to pop them and they would be really painful, but eventually go away (after a couple weeks). Since I've been pregnant, I've gotten them twice (always just one at a time). The first time, I popped it as usual and it went away. This time, though, I squeezed it, and it just stayed there, flat loose skin, looking like a skin tag, and hasn't gone away. My OB said he had no idea what it is, but it could be a wart/HPV, but he doesn't know. I've been checked for STDs and have had all normal PAPs (and no, my husband did not cheat!)...but it's not going anywhere! It hurts and kinda itches...does anyone have any idea what it is or what to do? I really need help, and I know it's gross, so please don't say anything nasty.

If it is just a 'skin tag', it can easily be removed (burned off) - it doesn't hurt. But, with all of the other symptoms you are describing, I wonder if it is something more serious.

I'd assume your OB could remove it and have it tested. Kinda' curious why they didn't suggest that to you (?)
