How is this hpv?

Ive been with my man for over 2 years, and just recently he had what we thought was a skin tag on his scrotum..So we both went to the dr. They said he has hpv...But just by look at it and no test

They put some med on it and 2 days later it was gone.

I got tested for everything and they said I dont have anything how can this be?

well you have to get tested too see if you have hpv.... change your doctor .. he sucks

I thought HPV on men was asymptomatic

That Doctor has to be incorrect. It was probably something else (not sure what) but It certainly wasn't HPV because u have to be tested and also It won't clear up that fast unless it was frozen off or lasered. And they do come back sometimes (not cool). Now If he did have HPV...there can be a possibility that u would have It too If you're having unprotected sex with him even If you didn't have an outbreak or anything (sometimes that happen). Just be careful. Change your doctor or go see another one and get TESTED for EVERYTHING!! Women get Pap Smears to be tested for HPV. Good Luck!

HPV isnt a disease which is easily tested for. A pap smear is your only detection method. Also if you have warts, it is a good indication.

Men carry the disease just as do the women, but they are unable to test for it in men, and it is much less life-threatening for them.
