I have a skin tag on my nec..

and it has been there as long as i can remember. Anyway, yesterday when I put my seatbelt on I felt pain, and touched my neck and it was the skin tag. Well, same thing today - and my boyfriend noticed tonight that it turned really really dark brown?!? usually it's the color of my skin and totally 100% unnoticable. It hurts and is dark brown now. WHAT'S WRONG????

Nothing, just cut if off. I do that to mine when I get them. Once I had one turn brown, I cut it off and never saw it again.

you might have an infection, due to germs on seatbelt.

I would see the doctor and have it checked. It is better to be safe than sorry. I think removing it is probably fairly simple, then they can send a sample away to be tested.

It has gotten irritated鈥攎aybe some internal bleeding like a bruise. It might be the time to have a dermatologist clip it, since it is in an area where further irritation can be expected. For now cold compresses for two days to minimize swelling and then warm compresses to aid resorption.

To get rid of it ... tie a piece of cotton tight around the tag to stop blood going through it, it will just drop of when it is ready. My Dad used to do this when he had one.
