I have a skin tag right on ..

Can the obgyn do it or do i go to a dermatologist? How do you suppose I got it? Maybe from a tight panty line?

there are alot of things that can cause them, mostly from some sort of infection you may not even have known you had.

If you talk to your gyno, they can freeze it off like freezing off a wart.

Yeah go see a dermatologist.

A dermatologist can remove it. You do not need to go to a GYN since it is on the outside of your body.

If it is external: Dermatologist

If it is internal: OB/GYN

In cases in which a skin tag is irritated or cosmetically unwanted, treatment may be done by freezing the tag with liquid nitrogen, tying off the tag with a thread or suture so as to cut off the blood supply, or cutting off (excising) the tag with a scalpel or scissors.

It can be removed , yes, but getting a Dr, to do it may be a problem. Insurance generally doesn't cover skin tags , because they look at them as being a cosmetic thing. Now if you can prove that this is causing you a physical discomfort . you may be able to get it done, If not you can tie a thread around it real tight and it should drop off shortly. Generally there is not blood supply and not pain in it.
