Is it possible to FEEL a RFID tag in a dog using your fingers ?

There is a stray dog in our neighborhood, and I would like to know if I can detect a RFID tag in the dog, without going to a veterinarian, simply by feeling the skin for a small lump. Where do they put them on the animal ? Are they always in the same place ?
The animal is large and I do not have a method of transport to a veterinarian to check. But if I was relatively sure there was one present, then it would certainly be compelling to find suitable transport means. There is no collar, and no report of a dog of this description at the Humane Society or elsewhere. I just want to help find the owner, if there is one.
Thank you for your information.
Is it possible to FEEL a RFID tag in a dog using your fingers ?I am sorry to say that it is not possible to feel one. They are actually inserted with a small needle, so you can imagine how tiny they must be!! I really want to thank you for wanting to do the right thing for this dog. Every animal deserves a chance.
If you call the humane society or ASPCA or other local rescue center(i would not recommend your town pound, they are not as easy to deal with) and explain the situation, someone may be able to actually come pick up the dog for you.
Good Luck!!
Is it possible to FEEL a RFID tag in a dog using your fingers ?Nope.
Is it possible to FEEL a RFID tag in a dog using your fingers ?No. They are too small.
Besides, the owner may have called the vet in question with a description of the lost dog even if the dog isn't chipped.
