Is it safe to have skin tag..

I am 35 weeks pregnant and have grown a huge painful skin tage on my collar bone and I have an appointment on Monday to have it removed. The doctors office said it was safe, but I am wondering of anyone else had any skin tags or moles removed when pregnant? Thanks

The office says it is safe but what does your ob/gyn or midwife say...if all else fails and you have any doubt in your mind trust your gut as a mommy congratulations

Perfectly safe, it's a minor procedure.

Yep, I had one skin tag and two moles removed last month - no problems at all.

They just injected a bit of Novocaine right on the spot, cut, cauterized, I had to keep a band-aid and neosporin on 'em for about a week - and they're healing up nicely.

i worked for a dermatologist office for a few years and still go there.....i wanted a skin tag and mole removed and the doc wouldnt do it until after i have the baby....so although they can do it theres always the chance of complications from the numbing down to the procedure.....good luck!
