Tying off a skin tag?

I am going to use dental floss to tie off the skin tag on my upper/inner thigh.....

Yeah, yeah, I know.."just go to the doctor". But, I am trying to avoid that for various reasons.

Anyway, I'm nervous that it wont work and then I wont be able to get the string off of it becase it was tied too tightly...

Is this possible? Or is tying it off basically fool proof?

It seems like a pretty big skin tag to me. But, then again I don't have any idea what the "average" size of one is.

I've done this all-at-once solution that works... if you can stand to have your ears pierced, you can stand this: snick it off with a fingernail clipper. It bleeds a little. But it beats what you're talking about.

I've tried to do that with a few very small tags around my eyes with thread, but they're just too small to snag! I supposed I'll have to wait. Anyway, to answer your question, if you tie it off tight enough & fast enough it should just come right off.
