Weird bump - Skin tag?

About ten years ago when I was 15 I had a little skin tag that I got rid of with a piece of string....worked good, left just a little bump. In the past week or so I've gotten this huge knot, feels kind of like a rising or massive bite and it is swelling and hurts like hell. I want to lance it but also ain't real crazy about falling over dead if it's some sort of poison or something? Someone told me it might be serious?

I doubt it's poison, unless it's a little glass vial that the Aliens implanted when you were asleep.

I've heard that sometimes your lymph nodes can swell up, they look like a mosquito bite and they hurt baaaad. and you're not supposed to squeeze or lance them.. You should check that out.

But I'd just keep the area clean, and watch it for a week or so, it should go down on it's own, then if not, go get a doctor to look.

if it was poison, you'd have fallen over dead a day ago already.

Why would it be poison? Maybe it's just a big pimple under it but you can't really tell because of the "bump". Im sure it's nothing serious.

It sounds like you have a really bad ingrown hair or possibly a boil. which is usually an ingrown hair that got infected possibly by friction or rubbing. I would have a doctor look at it. I am sure its nothing bad and you can get some over the counter antibiotic ointment for it. Good Luck

where is the knot--is it located where the skin tag was?

If it hurts it probably has infection. Go to doctor.
