I have white heads (something like pimples). The only way that I can get rid of them is to take a pin and pick a hole in them. Then you have to mash it to get the stuff out and then it kind of leaves a skin tag. They never really get all the way off my face. Can you help me. Thanks
What causes whiteheads on your face and how do you get rid of them?Whiteheads are caused by clogged pores. If you don't wash your face well or leave some cleanser on your face, it builds up and leaves you with whiteheads. Another way that people get them is by not exfoliating enough. Usually, you should use an exfoliating cleanser 1-2 times every 2 weeks. It helps unclog your pores and will leave you with smooth skin.
DO NOT use a pin and poke a hole in the whitehead. I can guarentee that this is only making your situation worse!
To get rid of whiteheads, here's what you do:
First, boil some water, wait for it to cool down just a little bit and then pour it over a wash cloth. Press the wash cloth over the area on your face that has the whitehead. This will help loosen it up and make it easier for the next step.
Next, you need to purchace a blackhead extractor. It says its for blackheads, but it works all the same for whiteheads as well. After you've pressed the cloth on your face, squeeze the whitehead with the extractor. You should see white pus coming out--thats good--it means its shrinking and going away.
Last, wash your face with your normal facial cleanser. Then rub a little alcohol over the area that you just squeezed with the extractor.
