What is a safe and effective way to rid my rabbit of fleas.?

He scratches his ears like he has 3 or 4 fleas. I feel terrible for that. All I've done is help him scratch. I know rabbits are sensitive to chemicals. Is there something NATURAL. I've heard that Chrysanthemum is natural flea deterrant. I have bought him this in the past and he has eaten it . . .I'm not sure if it helped at all. My other rabbit never scratches. Also he has what looks like a small wart on the inside of one ear . . has had for years. Doesn't look like a tick . . don't see anything dark. Not red. Just like a hard skin tag. I asked stupid little vet assistant to have vet look and tell what is . . .but they never brought it up again (cause we were doing other stuff) and I didn't ask again . .and even his nails that I brought him in to trim were just barely trimmed . like I had to do it again myself at home cause they must have just taken like realy a milimeter. F'in nincompoop/incompetants. AND they charged me for it. For all I know they filed once across
What is a safe and effective way to rid my rabbit of fleas.?I suggest calling another vet. One of the remedy's passed on to me was to plant peppermint and spearmint herbs in the yard to keep the fleas away. I have had them planted for 3 years and have no problems.
