Who has tied thread around ..

I went to the doctor and they said it wasn't cancerous. I said I was too afraid to get it removed and he just said "tie a piece of thread around it, and wait for it to fall off". I then did research on it and decided to give it a go...

I tied it around this time last night, and now it is a dark blue, almost black color. Is this okay? I think its supposed to be this color, but I still am not sure. After it falls off, what should I use to clean the area?

alcohol the colour is black since it is now dead and starting to think about rotting abit like a baby and their belly button after birth. Follow the same guide lines and you should be fine

You don't need to fuss with all that. Just nick that puppy off with a razor, or clip it off with really sharp cuticle scissors. It will bleed a little, but clean with alcohol, put on a little Neosporin and you're good to go. Doesn't hurt and nothing turns black.
