No such thing exsists. By definition, you can't get a tan AND protect your skin. When you tan you are damaging your skin, so you can't have both tanning and protection happening at the same time.
When outdoors try wearing an SPF 20 or 30 lotion. Reapply every few hours and after swimming and towelling off. You'll still pick up some color wearing this SPF, but at least you'll be semiprotected.
I beg of you, please don't go to indoor tanning salons. They're even worse for your skin than natural sun light. No tan skin is worth early wrinkles and skin cancer.
Good luck out there!

It's not true. When you tan (dont forget the sunblock), and you get darker, your skin pigments inside get used to the UV LIGHt, and your skin becomes better and it'll protect you more. I used to be whitewhite, but now i'm like, golden. I NEVER get sunburned.
