Should I get a TB Test?

I work in a office a this woman has been comming into work sick with a cough and a high fever and she announced that her skin test came up positive for TB. I don't know if I should get a test or not since I'm six months pregnant. The woman also doesn't sit around me and I don't have excessive contact with her on a daily basis.

The test is not harmful during pregnancy. You may get it if you are worried. TB is less infectious, and will not be acquired by casual contact. It needs prolonged contact. However, that also depends upon your immune status and other factors.

Please contact your OB immediately.

get tested to be on the safe side...it is a one second test with little pain....u will know the results in 3 days....

Regardless if we think think we have been exposed to TB-everyone should be tested every 4 yrs just for our own safety.I would ask my Dr about it asap. if i were you-dont wait
