How long does it take to recieve the results of a TB test?

lets say I take TB skin test on monday morning. when will i get the results?

It takes 2 days to be read. You will have your answer on Wednesday. However, if it is positive (swelling, bump in the area), you will need a chest x-ray to be sure you don't have TB. If the area looks like nothing happened, then it will be read as negative.

If it is positive but they find nothing in your lungs...tell them to check everything, to find the source. i should know. Report It

A Mantaux test is read after 48 to 72 hours. The redness and induration are noted. The induration is measured transverse to the long axis of the forearm.

Take the test wait two or three days then go back to the place where you were tested and have them read it.

They will tell you right then and there whether you are positive or negative.
