I haven't had the best skin in while. but i notice when i put product in my hair it tends to make me break out alot more. I decided to just wear my hair down everyday with nothing in it and my face cleared up alot more, not completely but a noticeable difference
is there anything that i can do to try to prevent this?
special hair products? ( I use wax and hairspray)
I tried proactiv.. and thigns like nutrogena and such
and have found the best sucess with simple Jergens Bar Soap.
could a basic face scrub help?
I am just looking for advice because the down hair wasn't quite working for me and my face was alot better when it was diwb but
i acctually look alot better altogether with my hair done
any advice can help
thanks soo much
Hair products casuing face problems? If you can't live without hair products, make sure you:
1) Invest in a decent product. More expensive hair products are usually pretty concentrated so you don't need to use a lot. If you're breaking out around the hair line, you're probably using too much.
2)Wash your hands after you use product. If you touch your face a lot, product left on your hands could be clogging your pores. Don't exercise with a lot of product in your hair, your scalp sweats too, that drips down...I don't need to say more.
3) Washing your face every night is essential. Aveeno is a gentle product for sensitive skin. Use a cleanser that is specific for your skin type. It will indicate that it's for acne skin. There are tons of affordable cleansers out there designed for problem skin, choose one and give it time to work.
4) Don't use anything on your acne that might dry it out. Contrary to popular belief, if you over dry acne skin, it will try to produce more oil. If it is dry, use an oil free light weight moisturizer.
Drink lots of water, helps :)
